The short version: HearthLocal is operated by JWC Holdings LLC. We collect only what we need to match you with a vetted local contractor, book your appointment, and follow up on your experience. We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
HearthLocal is a contractor matching service operated by JWC Holdings LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information gathered through hearthlocal.com and related services including our AI-powered phone assistant, scheduling system, and automated communications (collectively, the "Services").
By using our Site or Services, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it through our website forms, phone calls, SMS, scheduling tools, or other interactions with our Services. This includes:
• Name and contact information (phone number, email address)
• Home address or zip code for contractor matching purposes
• Project type, scope, timeline, and budget details
• Any additional information you share during a call or form submission
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:
• IP address and approximate location
• Browser type, version, and device information
• Pages visited, time on site, and actions taken
• Referring URLs and traffic source (including UTM parameters from ads)
• Date and time of visits
This data is used for analytics, performance optimization, and advertising attribution — including tracking which ads and campaigns generate appointments.
Important notice: Calls to HearthLocal may be answered by Hearth, an AI-powered virtual assistant, and may be recorded. By calling our number, you consent to being assisted by an AI assistant and to the recording of your call.
We disclose upfront on every call that Hearth is an AI virtual assistant. Call recordings are used for quality assurance, dispute resolution, billing verification (confirming appointment bookings), and service improvement. Recordings may be retained for up to 24 months and are accessible only to authorized personnel.
Call data — including duration, caller ID, call source, and recording — is logged in our customer relationship management system and may be used to verify billable events between HearthLocal and its contractor partners.
We use the information we collect for legitimate business purposes, including to:
• Match you with a vetted local contractor based on your project type and location
• Book, confirm, and manage your appointments
• Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications via SMS and email
• Respond to inquiries and support requests
• Verify billable appointment events with our contractor partners
• Improve our matching process, AI assistant performance, and overall service quality
• Measure advertising performance and optimize our marketing campaigns
• Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse of our Services
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
• Contractor partners — We share your name, phone number, project type, zip code, and appointment details with the contractor we match you with so they can prepare for and confirm your appointment.
• Technology and service providers — Including our CRM platform (HighLevel), scheduling tool (Driive), voice AI infrastructure, SMS and email providers, and analytics services. These providers operate under confidentiality obligations.
• Advertising platforms — We may share conversion data (such as appointment bookings) with ad platforms including Meta and Google to measure and optimize campaign performance.
• Legal and regulatory authorities — When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of HearthLocal, our users, or the public.
• Successor entities — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of JWC Holdings LLC's assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
By submitting your phone number or email through our Services, you may receive SMS messages, emails, or calls related to your appointment, our Services, or future promotions.
• Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of text messages
• Click Unsubscribe in any email to opt out of email marketing
• Email us at [email protected] to request removal from all marketing communications
Transactional messages — such as appointment confirmations and reminders — may still be sent even after opting out of marketing communications, as these are necessary to fulfill your appointment.
We use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to enable site functionality, analyze traffic, track advertising performance, and support remarketing. This includes tools such as the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain site features. Our advertising partners may also collect data across devices and websites in accordance with their own privacy policies.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
